Terrence Jennings (born July 28, 1986 in Alexandria ) is an American Taekwondoin . It starts in the weight class up to 68 kilograms.

Jennings has been participating in international competitions since 2003 and gained first experience at continental championships. Between 2007 and 2009, he studied in his hometown at Northern Virginia Community College and achieved several successes at college championships. His breakthrough to the international top came in 2011. At the Pan American Games in Guadalajara , he won his first medal in major championships with bronze. In Gyeongju he also played his first world championship , but was eliminated in his opening match. The American Olympic qualification tournament in Santiago de Querétaro , however, was successful . Jennings won the decisive battle for third place and qualified for the 2012 Olympic Games in London , having already prevailed against Mark Lopez within the team .

In London Jennings lost to the later Olympic champion Servet Tazegül in the preliminary round . In the hope round he prevailed against the Ukrainian Hryhorij Hussarow with two to three points. Therefore, he was allowed to compete for the bronze medal against the Brazilian Diogo da Silva . He defeated him with five to eight points and thus won the bronze medal.
