Markku Koplimaa (* 1985 or 1986 ) is a professional Estonian poker player .

Poker career

Koplimaa has been playing online since April 2011 under the nicknames markovitsus ( PokerStars ) , ExVang (GGPoker) and bloodone ( Unibet ) . On PokerStars , he finished fifth in the Spring Championship of Online Poker Main Event in May 2016 and received his highest ever online cash prize of $ 416,000 . In total, he has earned more than 8 million US dollars on the platform with tournament poker. In 2016 and 2020 he was at times among the top 30 of the PocketFives ranking, which lists the most successful online poker tournament players worldwide.

Koplimaa achieved its first live cash placements until June 2012 exclusively at poker tournaments in Tallinn . At the end of August 2019, he beat 4,681 other players at the national EPT Barcelona event, securing his highest prize money to date of 585,500 euros.

Overall, Koplimaa has earned more than one million US dollars with poker in live tournaments, making it the most successful Estonian poker player .
