Markus Brand (born September 19, 1974 ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
Brand played in the youth of VFB Bad Mergentheim before moving to the youth of 1. FC Nürnberg . At the club, Brand developed well, so that he made the leap into the professional team. In the 1992/93 season , on matchday 25, he made his first appearance in the Bundesliga , in the away game against Bayer Uerdingen coach Willi Entenmann used him for the first time, in all other games of the season Brand was on the field, so that he made nine appearances in the Bundesliga. In the following season, in which Nuremberg was relegated from the first division, he did not get a chance. In the 2nd Bundesliga he played eight games in which he scored two own goals. Brand changed and played for a year at TSV Vestenbergsgreuth , from 1996 for SpVgg Bayern Hof , where he stayed until 2001. He let his career end with the Eisbachtalern Sportfreunde .
