Markus Floth (born April 25, 1971 in Tulln ) is an Austrian TV and event presenter , reporter , TV producer , event and music director as well as DJ and MC .

Life

Born in Tulln , Austria and raised in London , England, Markus Floth is bilingual. He moderates in both German and English. After his parents moved back to Austria, Markus Floth started his career first in Austria with radio (RPN & NRJ ) and then switched to the German TV stations MTV and VIVA (VIACOM).

Career

On the radio

After an internship at the BBC in Manchester and London, Markus Floth started his moderation trade at the radio stations RPN and NRJ. From the night program to the drive time show to the morning show, he went through all the tracks. One of the most successful programs on Radio RPN and Markus Floth was the dome show "Schnecke sucht Schneckenhaus" together with RTL presenter Erika Berger, which was flown in to Austria once a week for the program.

On TV

He is best known for his TV shows MTV Sixpack , VIVA TOP 20 and VIVA Pur on MTV and VIVA Austria with star guests such as 50-Cent, David Guetta and Tom Cruise . From 2013 to December 31, 2018 he was also the producer of the two VIVA programs. As a reporter he was and is working for the BBC , Sport1 and Eurosport, among others .

As a sports presenter

His engagements at live events include the Olympic Games in London and Rio de Janeiro, various world and European championships, e.g. B. in handball or basketball as well as numerous major events worldwide. At the Vienna Capitals (Austria's ice hockey team with the highest average attendance), he has been creating a good atmosphere at home games since 2016. Markus Floth was most recently seen at the European Handball Championship 2020, where he moderated all the games in Austria (Vienna, Graz) and also all the games in the final round in Stockholm (Sweden).

As a lecturer

As a lecturer, he teaches the moderator course at the German Pop Academy in Vienna
