Myriam Holme

Myriam Holme (* 1971 in Mannheim ) is a German installation artist and painter .

Life

Myriam Holme studied from 1996 to 2002 at the  State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe with Nikolaus Meuser and Andreas Slominski , whose master class she was. Already during her studies she became interested in sculpture and painting .

In addition to painting, the one-room house c / o , which she developed and built together with the artist Philipp Morlock in 2002 and still manages today, is part of her artistic research.

Myriam Holme has held visiting professorships and teaching positions at various art academies , including the Munich Art Academy , the Düsseldorf Art Academy , the Karlsruhe Art Academy and the Mainz University of Applied Sciences .

In addition to grants such as the Kunstfonds Bonn work grant, the travel grant from the State of Baden-Württemberg or the German Academy in Rome , she has won several prizes, for example the 2017 Kubus art prize for advanced painting at the Stuttgart Art Museum .
