Markus Grössinger (born August 1, 1989 ) is an Austrian football player . The midfielder plays for the Austrian Bundesliga club SV Ried .

Athletic career

Grössinger began his career in the youth team of Union Henndorf in Salzburg . In the 2003/04 season he was briefly in the youth department of SV Austria Salzburg before he returned to Henndorf am Wallersee . In 2007 he was brought into the first team there and completed 58 games in the Salzburg State League 1, scoring 14 goals.

2010 spear to TSV Neumarkt in the Regionalliga West, where he made his debut under coach Sebastian Bachleitner on March 21, 2010. Grössinger came on as a substitute for Austro- Turkish Cem Emen against USK Anif at halftime, and the game at Anif sports center was lost 0: 4. In the subsequent season, the midfielder came on 14 missions and scored two goals. He was then committed by SV Grödig for the second highest Austrian league. After his second division debut on August 6, 2010 against SKN St. Pölten , when he came on for Michael Perlak in the 57th minute , he came on another mission.

From 2011 to 2012 he played in the Regionalliga Mitte at Union Vöcklamarkt , where he made good appearances for the Bundesliga. At the beginning of the 2012/13 season, Grössinger moved to SV Ried . He made his first game in the top Austrian league on July 22, 2012 against FC Admira Wacker Mödling . He came on in the 85th minute for Marco Meilinger . The Vikings won 2-0 in the Maria Enzersdorfer Trenkwalder Arena . He scored his first Bundesliga goal on December 1, 2012 against the Austrian record champions SK Rapid Wien , when he made the final score 3: 4 in the away game after preparation by Jan-Marc Riegler . He also came to his first games at European club level. In the first leg of the third qualifying round of the Europa League against the Polish representative Legia Warsaw on August 2, 2012, Grössinger played from the start and was substituted in the 60th minute against the Spaniard Nacho . Heinz Fuchsbichler's team won 2-1, but lost the second leg in Warsaw 1: 3 and thus eliminated from the European Cup.
