Markus Pirmann (born January 21, 1989 in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee ) is an Austrian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the EC KAC again since June 2018 and plays for its second team in the Alps Hockey League . His cousin Thomas Hundertpfund is also a hockey player.

Career

Pirmann learned to play ice hockey in the junior teams of the EC KAC and made his debut in the fighting team of the Austrian ice hockey league during the 2006/07 season . Since the 2008/09 season he has been part of the extended regular squad and also played eleven playoff games this season. In that year he also won the Austrian championship title with the combat team and the U-20 team . In addition, with a total of 65 points, including 32 goals, he was the top scorer and top scorer in the youth league.

At the end of July 2014, Pirmann's move to HC Steelers Kapfenberg , where he signed a one-year contract with the release clause for the country's top division, was announced. He made use of this clause in February 2015 when he was signed by the EHC Linz until the end of the season. In summer 2015 he moved to league competitor EC Graz 99ers .

International

Pirmann played for Austria at the U18 World Cup in 2007 and in the U20 World Cup in 2009 in Division I, where he was promoted to the top division in the older age group.

He made his debut in the men's selection of the Alpine country on April 9, 2010 in a 4-1 win in the friendly against Norway in Budapest .
