Markus Riedenauer

Markus Riedenauer (* 1966 in Vienna ) is a German philosopher .

Life

After graduating from high school in Upper Bavaria in 1985 , he began studying philosophy at the University of Philosophy and, at the same time, the diploma course in Catholic theology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In January 1992 he obtained a master’s degree with a major in philosophy, minor subjects in history and theology and in November 1993 a diploma in Catholic theology. The doctoral program (1994–1998) in philosophy at the University of Vienna with a dissertation on the subject of orexis and eupraxis. Ethics justification in pursuit Aristotle he concluded in October 1997 with the promotion of Dr. phil. from. He was an academic at the Institute for Theology and Peace in Barsbüttel near Hamburg ; Summer seminar in Political Science at St. Edward's University in Austin and Visiting Scholar at the Erasmus Institute of the University of Notre Dame .

He was a co-initiator and later a board member of “Kunstforum Ebendorf RaumAcht” (at the Catholic University Community in Vienna). From the winter semester 2001 onwards, he had lectureships at the University of Vienna . From the winter semester of 2002 he was teaching at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt . From April 2004 he received an APART scholarship from the Austrian Academy of Sciences. After the habilitation , venia legendi for the entire field of philosophy and appointment as a private lecturer in July 2006 (Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt) with the habilitation thesis Pluralität und Rationalität. The challenge of reason through religious and cultural diversity according to Nicolaus Cusanus , he represented from the winter semester 2006 to the summer semester 2007 the chair of philosophy I at the University of Bamberg .

From 2008 to 2015 he taught as professor of philosophy at the International Theological Institute . From 2008 to 2016 he was a lecturer for “Philosophy of Scientific Investigation” at the Wiener Neustadt University of Applied Sciences . From summer semester 2010 to summer semester 2017 he had a regular teaching position for "Philosophy of the Middle Ages" at the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the University of Vienna . In the 2015 summer semester, he represented the chair of “Basic Philosophical Questions in Theology” at the University of Regensburg . From the winter semester 2015/2016 to the summer semester 2017 he was a professor at the Kirchliche Pädagogische Hochschule Wien-Krems. Since June 1, 2018, he has been teaching as professor for “Basic Philosophical Questions in Theology” at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt.
