Markus Riedenauer

Markus Riedenauer (* 1966 in Vienna ) is a German philosopher .

Life

After graduating from high school in Upper Bavaria in 1985 , he began studying philosophy at the University of Philosophy and, at the same time, the diploma course in Catholic theology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In January 1992 he obtained a master’s degree with a major in philosophy, minor subjects in history and theology and in November 1993 a diploma in Catholic theology. The doctoral program (1994–1998) in philosophy at the University of Vienna with a dissertation on the subject of orexis and eupraxis. From April 2004 he received an APART scholarship from the Austrian Academy of Sciences. From 2008 to 2016 he was a lecturer for “Philosophy of Scientific Investigation” at the Wiener Neustadt University of Applied Sciences . From summer semester 2010 to summer semester 2017 he had a regular teaching position for "Philosophy of the Middle Ages" at the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the University of Vienna . In the 2015 summer semester, he represented the chair of “Basic Philosophical Questions in Theology” at the University of Regensburg . From the winter semester 2015/2016 to the summer semester 2017 he was a professor at the Kirchliche Pädagogische Hochschule Wien-Krems. Since June 1, 2018, he has been teaching as professor for “Basic Philosophical Questions in Theology” at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt.
