Markus Vogt (rower)
Markus Vogt (born September 25, 1965 in Munich ) is a former German rower .
Markus Vogt is the brother of the ski world champion Miriam Vogt . Today he is an independent entrepreneur and married to Simone Risch.
Career
Vogt started for the club rowing club Hansa from 1898 in Dortmund and trained with Dieter Grahn . Together with Markus Bräuer , Andreas Lütkefels and Stefan Scholz, he won a bronze medal in the four without a helmsman at the 1991 World Rowing Championships in Vienna .
At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, Vogt achieved fourth place with Armin Weyrauch , Matthias Ungemach and Dirk Balster, 15 hundredths of a second behind Slovenia. After four world championships and one Olympic participation, Markus Vogt ended his active career in 1996.
