Marlous Pieëte
Marlous Pieëte (born July 19, 1989 in Naarden ) is a Dutch soccer player who has been under contract with AFC Ajax Amsterdam Vrouwen in Amsterdam since the 2014/15 season .
Club career
In her youth, Pieëte played at her hometown club VVOG in Harderwijk, a hamlet in the municipality of Opmeer . From the age of five she was active in the boys' teams of the club up to and including the U-17. Then she went to the Hoofd class , the top division at the time, to Be Quick '28 in Zwolle . With the introduction of the Eredivisie , Pieëte, which can be used on the left as a striker or as an attacking midfielder, moved to FC Twente, with whom she won the KNVB Cup in 2008. In her second season in Enschede , she scored twelve goals in 22 league games. On June 20, 2014, she turned her back on FC Twente Enschede and moved to AFC Ajax Amsterdam Vrouwen .
National team
After she had already played in the U-17 national team, Pieëte made her debut on September 13, 2006 in the U-19 team of the Netherlands with a strong game against Belgium; at the qualifying tournament in Lithuania for the European Championship, she scored two of the eight goals of the Oranje team in the match against Croatia . On March 5, 2009, she made her first appearance in the senior national team . The match against Russia was followed by two more before she scored her only goal in the A-Eleven on July 11 in a 5-0 win against Switzerland in a four-nation tournament in Amsterdam . Bondscoach Vera Pauw called her into the squad for the European Championship finals ; by the start of the tournament she had played eight times in the national team.
