Marrese Crump (born January 4, 1982 in Lakeland , Florida ) is an American martial artist and actor. He had his first major role in the film Wrong Side of Town with Rob Van Dam , Dave Batista and Ja Rule .

Crump began a film career because of his experience in various martial arts. He can also act as a choreographer for fight scenes. He is also Dave Batista's personal trainer .

Life

Marrese Crump grew up in Progress Village , a neighborhood in Tampa , Florida. From early childhood he was involved in various sports such as basketball , American football and athletics . At the age of seven he began to learn martial arts. At first he mimicked movements from Bruce Lee films until he was trained in various techniques by Kim-Jae. During the following time, Crump learned different styles in all parts of the world and today he has knowledge of Karate , Muay Thai , Chinese martial arts , Capoeira , boxing , Filipino Martial Arts , Taekwondo and Ninjutsu . A book of his travels was published in 2009 under the title The Warrior's Journal . The book was written by Mark Cody with Marrese Crump as co-author.

He opened his first dojo in Tampa when he was 18 years old. It existed until 2005. Then Crump tried to gain a foothold as an actor. He had his first major role in the film Wrong Side of Town , in which he also choreographed the fights.

Together with Anesti Vega, Crump founded the social network Crumpdojo.com, whose community consists of martial artists and fans.
