The Marriegel is 622 m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Rosaliengebirge in Lower Austria . In the Josephinische Landesaufnahme the mountain is also called "Pokru B." called. It is located north of the Schwarzenbacher Rotte Eggenbuch . The border to Burgenland , where the valley of the Auwiesenbach lies, runs only about 200 meters east of the summit . In the west is the Hocheckgraben and in the south the Schulau . Neighboring mountains are the Sieggrabener Kogel ( 650 m ) in the southeast and the Greimkogel ( 677 m ) in the north.
Geologically, the Marriegel consists of mica schist , which also contains amphibolite , quartz and pegmatite .
In the southwest, the fields of Eggenbuch reach up to a few hundred meters from the summit of the mountain. The rest of the Marriegel is completely forested. Several forest roads lead to just below the summit, near which there are also several hunting lodges.
