Eggenbuch formerly called Äckerbug and called "Äckerpirchen" in old records, is a group of the market town of Schwarzenbach in the district of Wiener Neustadt-Land in Lower Austria .
geography
Eggenbuch is located in the southern Rosaliengebirge in the Lower Austrian industrial district on the border with Burgenland . Neighboring communities of the market community Schwarzenbach in the area of the Rotte Eggenbuch are the municipality Mattersburg and the village community Sieggraben .
Near the Rotte Eggenbuch are the mountains Marriegel , Greimkogel , Schwarzkogel and Sieggrabener Kogel .
A small, very steep side ditch, which slopes down towards the square opposite the White Cross , is popularly known as the “witch's ditch”. A small foothill mountain is popularly known as the Bira bar . At the Eggenbuch chapel, the Pflanzsteig branches off from Eggenbuchstrasse in the direction of Hocheckgraben and Hochegg .
