history

Place name

The name of the Schwarzenbach district Schulau is probably related to the Schwarzenbach elementary school . They called the Schulau formerly Sumpfau or Kohlenau . Since the Schwarzenbach elementary school was built in the village directly at the entrance to the valley in Schulau, people have been talking about the meadow behind the school .

Mining

In the Schulau, coal used to be mined underground . The routes lie deep under the Königsbichl and probably also reached under the Schölderl .
