Marshon Demond Lattimore (* 20th May 1996 in Cleveland , Ohio ) is an American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He plays for the New Orleans Saints as cornerback .

college

Lattimore attended Ohio State University and successfully played college football for their team, the Buckeyes . In his first season he was injured only three times, in his second he was called up as a starter in all games . After that, he decided to take part in the 2017 NFL Draft . In total, he was able to set 45 tackles and prevent eleven passes. He also got four interceptions and one touchdown .

NFL

Despite his little experience, Lattimore was selected in the first round as the eleventh player overall and as the first cornerback ever by the New Orleans Saints . He received a four-year contract guaranteed 15.35 million US dollars . Lattimore was able to establish himself as a professional straight away and was called up as a starting cornerback from the start . He scored his first touchdown in the game against the Detroit Lions.

For his consistently good performance, he was one of only four rookies - including his teammate Alvin Kamara - to be nominated for the 2018 Pro Bowl .
Lattimore was voted Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week four times during its rookie season (weeks 6, 8, 15, and 6). After the season, he was selected by the Associated Press for rookie defensive player of the year selected. Also in 2018 he showed consistently good performances and with two interceptions he played a key role in the victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional play-off game .
