Marta Elisabet Mangué González (born April 23, 1983 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria ) is a Spanish handball player .
Career
After Mangué was active on her home island at Rocasa Gran Canaria, she switched to El Osito L'Eliana Valencia, which was renamed CBM Astroc Sagunto in 2004 . From 2005 the back court player threw her goals for Cem. la Union-Ribarroja. From 2007 Mangué played for the Danish first division team Esbjerg . In August 2011 she signed a contract with RK Zaječar. After Zaječar missed qualifying for the Champions League and some sponsors withdrew, she left the club in December 2012. Shortly thereafter, she joined the French first division club Fleury Loiret Handball . With Fleury Loiret Handball, she won the French Cup in 2014 and the French Championship in 2015. From the summer of 2015 she played for Brest Bretagne handball . She has been under contract with Bourg-de-Péage Drôme Handball since summer 2020 .
Mangué has played 301 games for the Spanish national team so far . With 1034 goals she is the record scorer in the Spanish selection. At the 2004 Olympic Games , she finished sixth with Spain. The greatest success in her international career is reaching the finals at the 2008 European Championship . She was part of her national association's squad at the 2009 World Cup in China and at the 2011 World Cup in Brazil . In the summer of 2012 Mangué took part in the Olympic Games in London , where she won the bronze medal. She was also elected to the tournament's All-Star Team. In 2014 she won the silver medal at the European Championships. She also took part in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .
