Martin Aichele

Martin Aichele (* 1960 ) is a German media designer. He is professor for AV production at the Faculty of Digital Media at Furtwangen University .

Life

Martin Aichele studied 1983-1987 film and video, media design and marketing at the University of Arts in Berlin . Even before his studies, he worked as a camera assistant and cameraman for television and industry. After his successful studies, he worked as a concept developer , producer and director for film / video and multi-media productions. He was head of the Institute for Audiovisual Communication in St. Gallen , and in 1990 he was appointed professor for video production at the newly established Faculty of Digital Media at Furtwangen University. After returning from training and research at San Francisco State University , he took a five-year leave of absence. During this time he was managing director of the TC-Gruppe agency and realized international projects for well-known customers such as Volkswagen , Siemens and Bosch with the cross-media agency Aichele IDEAS, which he founded . With the concepts for the German participation in the EXPO 98 in Lisbon and the EXPO 2005 in Aichi - where he was also artistic director - he won two major competitions. Aichele was also a consultant for EXPO 2000 and for leading German companies, for which he also developed event, trade fair and cross-media concepts. After returning to the Faculty of Digital Media at Furtwangen University, Martin Aichele took over the Professorship of Integrated Communication and since 2010 has been Vice Dean and Dean of Studies of the then newly founded Bachelor's degree in Media Concept . In 2014 he was elected as the new dean of the faculty.

Research and areas of work

Martin Aichele published various publications in specialist journals and was involved in numerous video and media productions for industry, advertising and publishers. His areas of work include media conception , media consulting, creative direction and directing as well as integrated communication. He teaches at the Faculty of Digital Media at Furtwangen University with a focus on AV production.
