Martin E. Brooks

Martin E. Brooks , actually Martin Baum , (born November 30, 1925 in Bronx , New York City , † December 7, 2015 in Studio City , Los Angeles , California ) was an American actor .

Life

Martin Brooks was born in the Bronx. When he was ten years old, his family moved to Wilkes-Barre , Pennsylvania , where his father opened a clothing factory. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, became a paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division, and received a Purple Heart for his World War II injuries .

Brooks was mainly active as a television actor from 1951. Primarily, he appeared in guest roles in various series. There were only occasional appearances. This pattern was only broken in the third season of the series The Six Million Dollar Man , when Brooks took over the role of Dr. Alan Oppenheimer from 1975 . Rudy Wells took over. Brooks also played this role in the offshoot The Seven Million Dollar Woman . In 1970 he starred in the television film Death of a Citizen . After that he had small supporting roles in Dallas and Hunter .

By the mid-1990s he was seen in more than 60 productions. He played one of his last major roles in the 1994 film Dark Force - Aliens in Black .

Martin E. Brooks died on December 7, 2015 at the age of 90 after a brief hospital stay in Studio City, Los Angeles.
