Martin Pfannschmidt: History of the Berlin suburbs Buch and Karow

Martin Eckart Pfannschmidt (born November 23, 1861 in Berlin ; † 1947 there ) was a Protestant pastor and local history researcher in Berlin .

Life

The son of the painter Carl Gottfried Pfannschmidt attended grammar school in Berlin and studied Protestant theology at the Friedrich Wilhelms University in Berlin , the Royal University of Greifswald and the Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen . He took up the tape of the Berlin , Greifswalder and Erlanger Wingolf . After his ordination on July 20, 1890, he received his first pastor in Terpt (today a district of Luckau ). In 1897 he moved to Lübbenau as senior pastor . From 1913 to 1933 Martin Pfannschmidt was pastor of the Buch - Karow community . Here in the northeast of the capital he also worked as a local researcher . In retirement he lived in Gohfeld near Löhne .

Honors

In Berlin-Karow , Quartier Neu-Karow I - Chronicler's Quarter, Pfannschmidtstrasse was named after him on February 13, 1996 .
