Martin Fischer (singer)
Martin "Marsen" Fischer is a German singer , guitarist and keyboard player . Fischer sings in the band Pigeon Toe and was previously active in Fear My Thoughts , Backslide , Mongouse and Long Distance Calling .
Career
In 2000 Fischer founded the rock band Mongouse with the drummer Swingo, with whom he released three studio albums. In 2004 he joined the punk rock band Backslide under the pseudonym Marsen Angler . In 2007 Fischer succeeded Mathias Benedikt von Ockl on Fear My Thoughts, with whom he recorded the last album Isolation in 2008 . Previously, Fischer worked for the band as a merchandiser and substitute bassist . Martin Fischer then founded the progressive rock band Pigeon Toe with his brother Hans , who released their first studio album in 2012. Fischer also designed the album cover. At the end of 2012, Fischer joined the formerly instrumental band Long Distance Calling, where he has since taken over the keyboards in addition to singing. On March 1, 2013, the band's first studio album was released with Martin Fischer. Two months later, on May 3, 2013, he released Backslide, the band's third studio album, A Dark and Blackened Night, which was released on the German label Concrete Jungle Records. In January 2016, Fischer left Long Distance Calling for private reasons and was replaced by Petter Carlsen.
