Martin Hebich
Martin Hebich (born September 20, 1972 ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He has been Lord Mayor of the independent city of Frankenthal (Palatinate) since 2016 .
Life
Hebich attended the school in Frankenthal from 1979 to 1992 and passed the Abitur at the Karolinen-Gymnasium . From 1992 to 1995 he studied at the University of Applied Sciences for Finance in Edenkoben . From July 1995 to July 2002 he worked at the tax office in Ludwigshafen am Rhein and then moved to the city administration of the chemical city until June 2008.
Hebich is married and has two children.

In 1999 he was elected to the city council of Frankenthal, from September 1999 to June 2008 Hebich was mayor of the Eppstein district . In June 2008 he became mayor of the city of Frankenthal. He was responsible for the areas of planning and construction, order and environment, as well as the private and commercial operation of this city. In addition, he has been the head of the Isenach - Eckbach water body association since November 2014 .
In a runoff election on May 31, 2015, he was elected to succeed Theo Wieder (CDU) as Lord Mayor of Frankenthal with 50.6 percent of the votes cast . In the first ballot on May 10, 2015, none of the original three applicants received an absolute majority. Hebich took office on January 1, 2016; the term of office is eight years.
