Berno Zeissler

Berno Zeißler (born July 21, 1907 in Lichtenstein / Sa. , † October 11, 1997 in Frankenthal ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a paper mill owner, Zeißler studied law and political science in Freiburg im Breisgau , Berlin , Geneva and Leipzig after attending the secondary school in Radebeul . During his studies he became a member of the Neogermania Berlin fraternity in 1927 and of the Suevia Leipzig fraternity in 1929 . After his exams in 1931 and 1935, he worked from 1935 to 1940 as a lawyer and notary representative as well as a lawyer assistant in various cities, then until 1942 as an assessor in Wurzen . After that he was municipal legal advisor in Wurzen until 1945. After the Second World War he worked as a self-employed legal advisor, fled to West Germany in 1947 and then worked as a commercial clerk in a shoe factory in Thaleischweiler until 1949 . After further positions, he joined the Frankenthal city ​​council in 1951 as a municipal legal advisor, was a civil servant for life in 1952, but released in 1956 at his own request. In 1957 he became mayor and from 1964 to 1972 mayor of Frankenthal.
