The University of Finance in Edenkoben is the administrative university of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate . It is subordinate to the State Tax Office (LfSt) Koblenz.
Location and premises
The university's premises are located on Luitpoldstrasse in the middle of the center of Edenkoben . From 1898 the location served a district court ; north of this was a prison. The latter was demolished in 1972 and replaced by a new structure two years later.
history
The university was founded in 1981 and moved into the premises of the former local court including the new building from 1974, which has since been the location of the Rhineland-Palatinate Finance School. Both facilities have been housed there in parallel since 1981. In addition to the actual studies, it also serves to train tax officials. The building was converted between 2009 and 2011. Since February 1, 2015, it has been called the Rhineland-Palatinate University of Finance. Up to this date it was called the Rhineland-Palatinate University of Finance.
Course of studies
The university trains the future civil servants of the higher non-technical service of the Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland finance administration in a vocational, three-year course. It is divided into study and practical phases at tax offices and concludes with the academic degree of Diplom-Finanzwirt (FH) .
theatre
In 2005, some lecturers at the university founded the theater group totally taxed , which initially performed annually, now every two years, by various authors.
