Martin Hewitt

Martin Hewitt (born February 19, 1958 in San José , California ) is an American actor .

Life

Hewitt made his debut in a supporting role in the television series General Hospital in 1979 . In 1982, he starred opposite Brooke Shields the male lead in the romantic film drama Endless Love by Franco Zeffirelli , for which he was selected among approximately 5,000 applicants. For this role he was nominated in 1982 for the Young Artist Award as well as for the Golden Raspberry for the worst performance of the year.

In the pirate comedy Dotterbart , Hewitt appeared alongside Graham Chapman , Eric Idle and John Cleese . In 1983 he also worked alongside James Spader in the television series The Family Tree . In the action film Out of Control he took on the lead role, other lead roles followed, among others in the horror comedy Killer Party and in the thriller Dangerous Desires . In the erotic film drama Two Moon Junction - Shackles of Passion , he appeared alongside Sherilyn Fenn as her fiancé Chad Dowling .

Hewitt has been married to Kerstin Gneiting since 1990 , has two children and lives in California . He is now working as a freelance contractor for house inspection software and also conducts house inspections for property buyers.
