action

The pirate Dotterbart is sentenced to prison for tax evasion . Since he buried a pot of gold on a remote island before his imprisonment and did not reveal its coordinates even under torture, the Royal Navy has increased his prison sentence to 140 years in the hope that he would break out and go in search of his treasure .

After learning of the increase in his sentence, Dotterbart actually breaks out and is henceforth pursued by the Royal Navy. His son Dan, who is not a pirate, but an intellectual gardener, helps him in his search for the treasure. Together with his old crew, he kidnaps a ship and finally reaches Treasure Island. There he kills El Nebuloso and Dan kills Mr. Moon, Dotterbart's former mate, who betrayed him. They finally find the treasure using a card that Dan had tattooed on his scalp as a child by his mother before she destroyed the original card. Dan Dotterbart accidentally stabs it at the site and the treasure ends up in the hands of the royal fleet.

When the Navy ship returns to England with the treasure, it is captured by Dotterbart and his crew - his injury was not fatal. Dotterbart abandons the Royal Navy crew on the high seas and takes over the ship.

Reviews

"Sarcastic-macabre, partly scary pirate film parody."

"Despite the star cast (including Eric Idle, Cheech and Chong, David Bowie) the parody remains pale."
