In 2006, he finally moved overseas to the North American Hockey League , where he was on the ice for the Traverse City North Stars , Quad City Express and Alaska Avalanche teams . For the 2010/11 season he returned to EC Graz 99ers . Shortly after the start of the season, he was awarded to the national league team HC Innsbruck , whose first goalkeeper Manuel Schönhill was injured. The Innsbruck team set a worldwide record this season, winning 21 games in a row. Martin Iberer was in goal in 14 of these games. Shortly before the start of the playoffs, the EC Graz 99ers brought him back to Graz.
