Martin Lauret (born October 27, 1971 in Terneuzen ) is a Dutch long-distance runner .

In 1998 and 1999 he won the Dutch championships in the 10,000 meter run . In the years that followed, however, he repeatedly had to struggle with Achilles tendon problems and was therefore operated on several times.

In 2005 he made his debut in Amsterdam on the marathon distance with a time of 2:20:49. At the Rotterdam Marathon he finished 16th in 2007 and 21st in 2008, increasing his best performance to 2:19:09.

In 2008, Martin Lauret won the Vattenfall City Night (10 km) on August 2nd in Berlin in 29:07. He also celebrated his greatest international success to date when he surprisingly crossed the finish line in fourth place in the Chicago Marathon on October 12 with a personal best of 2:15:10.

In 2009 he won again at the Vattenfall City Night and was the sixth overall Dutch champion in the 10 km road race at the Tilburg 10 km .

Martin Lauret is 1.78 m tall and weighs 65 kg. He starts for the AV Castricum.
