Martin Panosch (born December 3, 1967 in Schwarzach im Pongau ) is honorary consul of the Ukraine in Salzburg and regional director of Wiener Städtische Versicherung for the Austrian state of Salzburg . From 2004 to 2013 he was a member of the city government of the state capital Salzburg.

Life

Raised up as the son of the then Schwarzach Gendarmerie -Postenkommandant, Panosch moved to Salzburg in 1986 and studied law at the University of Salzburg .

After receiving his doctorate with distinction in 1992, he worked as a contract assistant at the Institute for Civil Law and Private Insurance Law until 1994. From 1994 he took on the role of club manager in the Salzburg state parliament . In the same year he also became a lecturer at the University of Salzburg for Austrian and European private law .

After the municipal council elections in 1999, the new council member was elected chairman of the committee for planning , transport and the environment . From 2004 to 2013 he was a member of the city government of the provincial capital Salzburg, first as a city ​​councilor for building management and housing , then as deputy mayor for social affairs, senior citizens and housing. During these years he held numerous positions on supervisory boards and other bodies:

  • Chairman of the District Social Welfare Advisory Board in Salzburg City
  • Member of the main committee of the Austrian Association of Cities
  • Member of the specialist committee for social affairs, health and youth of the Austrian Association of Cities

  • Member of the board of the cleanliness association for the greater Salzburg area
  • Chairman of the supervisory board of Salzburger Parkgaragen GmbH
  • Representative of the city in the general assembly of the city of Salzburg Immobilien GmbH (SIG)
  • Supervisory Board of the Altstadt Salzburg Marketing GmbH (later the Altstadtverband)

In September 2013 Panosch switched to the private sector as deputy regional director of Wiener Städtische Versicherung. In October 2014 he was appointed country director and subsequently granted power of attorney . Since May 2015 he has been a member of the Economic Parliament of the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce and deputy chairman of the banking and insurance division .

In June 2015 he also took over the state chairmanship of the business forum for executives for the state of Salzburg. It is the largest non-party network of executives in Austria.

Finally, in August 2016, he was granted the exequatur as head of the Ukrainian consular mission in Salzburg, and since September 2018 he has also been a member of the supervisory board of the Ukrainian insurance companies UIG, Kniazha and Kniazha Life.

Martin Panosch has been married since May 2000 and has four children. He competes in international hickory golf tournaments. His greatest sporting successes include winning the net rating at the European Hickory Championship in The Hague in 2014 (Koninklijke Haagsche Golf & Country Club) and winning the gross title International Polish Hickory Champion 2017 and 2018 (2017: Binowo Park Golf Club and Modry Las Golf Club, 2018: Krakow Valley Golf & Country Club).
