Martin Seiler (* 1964 in Baden-Baden ) is a German manager. Since January 2018 he has been the Board Member for Human Resources and Legal at Deutsche Bahn AG .

Life

His professional career began in 1980 at the Deutsche Bundespost in Baden-Baden . After more than 15 years in the works council and the German postal union or ver.di , Seiler switched to management at Deutsche Post AG in Bonn at the beginning of 2003 .

Deutsche Telekom

Since 2010 he has been "HR Director" at Deutsche Telekom , from June 2015 Managing Director Human Resources and Labor Director of the company and thus responsible for 70,000 employees.

Deutsche Bahn

On November 10, 2017, he was appointed Chief Human Resources Officer at Deutsche Bahn with effect from January 1, 2018. He replaced Ulrich Weber . As the Board Member for Human Resources & Legal, he is responsible for around 320,000 employees worldwide, almost 200,000 of them in Germany.

With a view to the transformation of the world of work, Seiler concluded a “digital pact” with the rail works council in spring 2018. In 2018, Deutsche Bahn also hired 20,000 new employees; in 2019, 24,000 new employees were hired, around 5,000 more than originally planned.

On February 19, 2020, the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bahn Seilers extended the current contract until the end of 2020 to the end of 2025.
