Martin Tille

Martin Tille (born August 11, 1883 in Klinga , † February 21, 1956 in Marienberg ) was a German landscape painter .

Life

Tille was the son of a church school teacher. He attended the teachers' college in Oschatz and was initially an assistant teacher at the community school in Strehla . In 1908 he was appointed as teacher to Marienberg in the Erzgebirge displaced, where he served as teacher worked. He came to painting as an autodidact . He immortalized his native motifs from the Ore Mountains and his place of work in Marienberg in oil paintings , pastels , watercolors and drawings .

From July 20 to August 17, 2008, on the occasion of his 125th birthday, an anniversary exhibition was held in three museums at the same time in Marienberg.
