Martin Weber (born March 19, 1971 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) and an employee. Weber was a delegated member of the Austrian Federal Council from Styria from June 2015 to December 2019 . Before that, he was a member of the Styrian Landtag from 2010 to 2015 .

In 1995 Weber was appointed the first SPÖ treasurer in the history of the southeast Styrian market town of Tieschen . He first appeared in public in April 2000 when he was elected mayor of Tieschen. With only 29 years he was the first SPÖ mayor in the district.

In addition, he is the local chairman of the SPÖ and regional chairman of the SPÖ. Weber is also the district chairman of Southeast Styria in the association of municipal representatives and has been honorary president of the Styrian Civil Protection Association since 2014 .

As a result of the state elections in Styria in 2010 , Weber moved into the Styrian state parliament in 2010 . He was sworn in on October 21, 2010. In June 2015 he left the state parliament after the heavy loss of the SPÖ in the state elections . He was then sent by the newly elected members of the state parliament as one of the representatives of Styria in the Austrian Federal Council . After the state elections in 2019 , he resigned from the Federal Council on December 16, 2019.
