Martina Roth

Martina Roth (born March 8, 1960 in Dinkelsbühl , Bavaria ) is a German actress .

Life

Martina Roth received her acting training in Hamburg and already worked during this time at the Thalia Theater and the Deutsches Schauspielhaus , where she played in the Großkophta von Goethe in 1988 under the direction of the Portuguese director Augusto Fernandes . Her first permanent engagement took her to the Schleswig-Holstein State Theater .

Further stations were the Oldenburg State Theater and the State Theater Darmstadt . Guest engagements have taken her to the State Theater Braunschweig , the Schauspielhaus Leipzig , the TAT Frankfurt, the State Theater Karlsruhe , the Nationaltheater Mannheim and the Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg .

At the Schlosstheater Schwetzingen in 1999 she played a baroque opera / melodrama by Christian Cannabich in the world premiere of "Elektra", directed and choreographed by Arila Siegert , the title role "Elektra". In 2010 she was seen in the same role under the direction of Heinz Lukas Kindermann at the Cuvilliés Theater in Munich . The collaboration with the choreographer Pierre Wyss, with whom she acted as an actress and dancer in several dance theater productions, was essential for her.

In 1995 Martina Roth had a daughter.

In 2004, together with the Dutch scenographer and director Johannes Conen, she founded the "bbt Bewegungsbildtheater", a form of presentation that combines acting and projection technology with extraordinary consistency, a highly technical and theatrical act. In the meantime, seven productions have emerged from it, with which she in Germany and Switzerland made guest appearances.
