Martyna Kotwiła (born January 13, 1999 in Radom ) is a Polish sprinter .

Athletic career

For the first time in an international championship, Martyna Kotwiła competed at the U18 European Championships in Tbilisi in 2016. There she reached the semi-finals over 100 meters and won the silver medal behind the team from France with the Polish sprint relay (1000 meters). Two weeks later she finished fourth at the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz with the Polish 4 x 100 meter relay. In 2017 she qualified over 200 meters for the U20 European Championships in Grosseto , where she finished seventh. With the Polish season she was eliminated in the preliminary round. In 2018 she qualified over 200 meters for the U20 World Championships in Tampere , where she set a new Polish junior record in the final with 23.21 seconds and thus won the bronze medal. In addition, she finished fifth with the relay in 44.61 s. So she qualified for the European Championships in Berlin , where she was eliminated in the 200-meter run with 23.41 s in the semifinals. She was also sixth with the Polish squadron in 43.34 s.

In 2019 she reached the semi-finals over 200 meters at the U23 European Championships in Gävle , but could not finish her run there, but won the bronze medal behind the teams from Germany and France in 44.08 seconds with the Polish relay.

In 2018, Kotwiła became Polish champion in the 200-meter run outdoors and in 2019 indoors.
