Mateja Robnik (born April 6, 1987 in Luče ) is a Slovenian ski racer . She specializes in the disciplines of giant slalom and slalom .

biography

In November 2002 Robnik first took part in FIS races . On January 24, 2004 it was used for the first time in the World Cup , at the giant slalom in Maribor . Appearances in the European Cup followed from February 2004. At the Junior World Championship in 2006 , she missed a medal in the giant slalom by just four hundredths of a second and came in fourth. At the end of the same season, she won two Slovenian championship titles in giant slalom and super-G.

On December 28, 2006, Robnik won World Cup points for the first time when she reached 18th place in the giant slalom in Semmering . This was followed by further placements among the best 30. Her best World Cup result so far is an eleventh place in a giant slalom, achieved on November 29, 2008 in Aspen . Robnik took part in world championships from 2005. The best results she achieved in Val-d'Isère in 2009, twelfth place in the giant slalom and 13th place in the super combined. During the entire 2009/10 season she had to take a break due to injury, and in the next winter she only took part in a single race. Robnik has been competing regularly since the 2011/12 season.
