Mathieu Béda (born July 28, 1981 in Nice ) is a former French football player . The defensive player was last in the Axpo Super League in the squad of FC Zurich .

career

Béda began his career in the offspring of AS Vence . In 1991 he moved to AS Cannes , where he played until 1997. From 1997 to 2001 he was part of the youth department of Girondins Bordeaux . In the 2001/02 season he played at AS Nancy , where he made 17 appearances in Ligue 2 . In the summer of 2002 he came back to Girondins Bordeaux, in the following two seasons he played 11 games in Ligue 1 and scored one goal.

In the summer of 2004 he left his home country and joined the Belgian first division VV St. Truiden . There he was used 20 times in the 2004/05 season and was able to mark three hits. In the first half of the 2005/06 season he ran for league rivals Standard Liège , where he came to 14 missions.

For the second half of the 2005/06 season, Béda was signed by the German Bundesliga club 1. FC Kaiserslautern and received a contract there until 2008. At the end of the second half of the season, he was relegated to the second Bundesliga with the devils . From summer 2006 to April 2008 he was the captain of the team. He played a total of 67 league games for Kaiserslautern.

After the end of his contract with 1. FCK, he joined league competitor TSV 1860 Munich in the summer of 2008 . He signed a contract there until 2011. After he was regularly used in his first season in Munich, he was only a subordinate alternative for the back team of the Lions from summer 2009 . In autumn 2009, coach Ewald Lienen deleted him from the squad. At the beginning of 2010, Béda was reinstated as several competitors in the defense of the sixties were not operational. He played 11 games by the end of the season.

In the summer of 2010, Béda was removed from the first team's squad by the new coach Reiner Maurer . He has trained with the U23 since then, but was not used there. Shortly before the end of the winter transfer period, he moved to FC Zurich on January 31, 2011 . Overall, Béda had played 39 league games for the Munich Lions and scored one goal. In addition, he was used four times in the DFB Cup .

In the spring of 2011, Béda moved to the Swiss first division club FC Zurich, where he immediately earned a place in the regular team. Béda's contract was then extended for another season. In May 2013, his contract with FCZ was terminated by mutual agreement four games before the end of the season.

Mathieu Beda has worked as a player's agent since then.
