Matija Kopajtić (born June 26, 1981 in Zagreb , SR Croatia ) is a Croatian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the KHL Mladost Zagreb since 2009 .

Career

Matija Kopajtić began his professional career in the 2000/01 season at the Croatian club of KHL Zagreb . With this club he remained eligible to play until 2002. He moved in the 2002/03 season to another Croatian ice hockey club from Zagreb , the Croatian record champions KHL Medveščak Zagreb . There Kopajtić played until the 2005/06 season to switch again to his first professional club, KHL Zagreb, in the season. Since 2009 he has been playing for the KHL Mladost Zagreb .

International

For Croatia , Kopajtić took part in the junior division of the U20 Junior D World Championship in 2000 and the U20 Junior C World Championship in 1999 and 2001 . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the C World Championships in 2004 and 2007 and at the B World Championships in 2001 , 2002 , 2003 , 2006 and 2009 . He also represented Croatia in the qualifying tournaments for the 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympics .
