Matrix (club)

The Matrix is a club in Berlin . The club is known as one of the filming locations for the RTL II series Berlin - Day & Night . The series will be filmed there during ongoing operations.

The club was founded in 1995 and has been located in ten vaults of the Warschauer Straße underground station in the Friedrichshain district since autumn 1996 . It has a capacity of up to 2,500 visitors and is open Monday through Sunday.

The Matrix became internationally known primarily in the field of electronic dance music . Several years put the club on the Love Parade own Love Mobile . Numerous DJs such as Marusha , WestBam , DJ Dick , Underground Resistance , Josh Wink , Lords of the Underground , Lady B , Sven Väth and Paul van Dyk have played in the Matrix.

From 2003, the range of music on offer was broader. A section now has its own door as the “Narva Lounge”. Different styles of dance music are presented on a total of seven dance floors .

Well-known artists who have appeared in the Matrix in the past few years or who are currently performing regularly include Sabrina Setlur , Ne-Yo , George Morel , Vibekingz , Bushido and DJ Size .
