Matt Bosher (born October 18, 1987 in Greenacres , Florida , USA ) is an American football player on the position of punter . He is currently a free agent . He has played nine years for the Atlanta Falcons in the National Football League (NFL).

college

Bosher played college football at the University of Miami from 2007 to 2010 . Last year he averaged 44 yards per punt for a total of 59 punts. From 2008 to 2010 he was also used as a kicker . Here he scored 262 points.

NFL

Matt Bosher was selected as the 192nd player in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons in the sixth round. On July 28, 2011, he signed his contract. In the first year he was a regular player and on 11 December 2011, he became the punter of the Day ( Punter day of the game named) in the NFL. Bosher moved into the play-offs with the Atlanta Falcons , but they failed in the wildcard round against the New York Giants with 2:24. But after the 2016 season he reached the Super Bowl LI with the Falcons , which was lost to the New England Patriots at 28:34 .

He was placed on the Injured Reserve List on October 5, 2019, reactivated on December 2, 2019, but placed on the Injured Reserve List again on December 7, 2019. He did not get a new contract with the Falcons.
