Matt Ryan (2014)

Matthew Ryan (born April 11, 1981 in Swansea , Wales ) is a British actor . His parents are Steve and Maria Evans. He graduated from Bristol Old Vic Drama School in 2003 and joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2004 . There he played for three years under the renowned directors Rupert Goold and Greg Doran (director of the ensemble since 2012) in the plays Spanish Golden Age Season and Gunpowder Plot Season . He then moved to the smaller ensemble of Donmar Warehouse and received minor roles in British television series, including The Tudors and Torchwood . He then moved to the United States , where he has mainly lived and worked ever since. In 2011 he played a leading role as Mick Rawson in Criminal Minds - spin-off Criminal Minds: Team Red , which was discontinued after a season. In 2014 and 2015 he played the leading role of the short-lived television series Constantine . He also portrayed this figure in an episode of the Arrow series . Occasionally, however, he returns to Great Britain for theater roles, most recently in 2017 with the ensemble of Donmar Warehouse for a production of Knives in Hens .
