Matteo Meisl (born December 27, 2000 ) is an Austrian soccer player .

Career

society

Meisl started his career at SV Kuchl . In 2013 he joined the youth team at FC Red Bull Salzburg , where he later played in the academy. Meisl was part of the Salzburg U-19 team, which won the UEFA Youth League in the 2016/17 season . He came to a use in the first round second leg against Vardar Skopje . In the 2017/18 season he took part in the Youth League again with the Salzburg team. In his only use in the game against Girondins Bordeaux , he also made a goal.

For the 2018/19 season he moved to the second-rate team of FK Austria Wien . He made his debut in the second division in July 2018 when he came on as a substitute for Alexandar Borkovic on the first day of that season against Kapfenberger SV in the half-time break . In the 63rd minute, however, Meisl received a red card and had to leave the field.

National team

Meisl played for the first time for an Austrian national youth team in November 2014. In September 2016 he made his debut against Russia for Austria's U-17 team . In September 2017 he played for the U-18 team for the first time .

In September 2018 he made his debut against Denmark for the U-19 team .

Personal

His brother Luca (* 1999) is also a soccer player.
