Alexandar Borkovic (born June 11, 1999 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football player . He is under contract with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in Germany and is a young national player.

Career

society

Borkovic started his career at KSV Ankerbrot Montelaa . In 2007 he joined the youth team of FK Austria Wien and went through its junior academy. In March 2016 he made his debut for the Austria amateur team in the Regionalliga when he came on as a substitute for Marko Zlatković on matchday 18 of the 2015/16 season against First Vienna FC in stoppage time.

For the following season , Borkovic, who at that time had only played three regional league games, received a professional contract valid until June 2019 and moved up to the Bundesliga squad, this contract was extended at the end of May 2019 to summer 2022. In February 2017, the central defender was in the starting line-up on the 23rd match day of that season against SCR Altach , and was substituted one game later before he was out for the rest of the season due to injury. In September 2016 he played against Belgium for the U18 team for the first time . In August 2017 he made his first appearance for the U19 team against Norway . In March 2019 he played against Norway for the first time for the U20 team .

In June 2019 he made his debut against France for the U21 selection .
