Matthew Neal (born November 22, 1991 in Minesing , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Heilbronner Falken in the DEL2 since July 2020 .
Career
After his teenage years in Canada, Neal played one year in Europe in the youth team of Färjestad BK . Then he switched to the Stouffville Spirit. After three successful years he moved to the American college league NCAA for the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute . Shortly before the end of the 2014/15 season, he joined the ECHL for the Quad City Mallards . After a short stint at the Iowa Wild , Neal moved to Europe, to the Austrian record champions EC KAC .
