Matthias Budde (* before 1570; † 1591 ) was a Pomeranian nobleman, Danish diplomat and governor on Ösel .

Matthias Budde came from the Pomeranian noble family of Budde . He was a son of Henning Budde on Neetzow (Nessow) and Dorothea Ruske (Rausche). In June 1566 he was enrolled at the University of Greifswald .

Together with his brother Godslev, he was first mentioned by name in Denmark in 1570. In 1575 he became secretary in the German chancellery. In 1577 he was appointed court squire and in 1580 enfeoffed with the Thyholm provost. Several times he was the Danish envoy in England and Poland . From 1584 to 1589 he was governor on Ösel, where he acquired the Töllist estate .

Matthias Budde was married to Ursula Behr , a daughter of Johann Behr, the Danish governor in the Kurland monastery , and Margaretha Grotthuss .

His grave slab with relief is in the Gramzow Church in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .
