Matthias Kniesbeck
Matthias Kniesbeck (born June 19, 1955 in Dillingen / Saar ; † January 31, 2018 in Wadern ) was a German actor and director .
Life
Kniesbeck moved to Berlin at the age of 18 . During his acting training he was engaged for Dieter Dorn's production of Aristophanes ' Birds at the Berlin Schiller Theater. He was also involved in other Berlin houses, in Stuttgart , Darmstadt , Essen and Saarbrücken .
The actor was known for his work in the Tatort , in the series Balko , there he embodied the character of the police officer Wittek, and in the Hunsrück saga Heimat .
Matthias Kniesbeck rests in the cemetery of Wadern in the Wedern district .
