Matthias Kuntzsch
Matthias Kuntzsch (born September 22, 1935 in Karlsruhe ) is a German conductor who lives in the United States .
Life
Matthias Kuntzsch attended school in Braunschweig , where his grandmother, Martha Fuchs , was mayor . At the Academy for Music and Theater in Hanover , he studied piano with the famous pianist Karl Engel . He continued his studies at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and in Switzerland and attended master classes with Lovro von Matačić , Herbert von Karajan and Pablo Casals .
Matthias Kuntzsch is married to the US singer ( mezzo-soprano , soprano ) Sylvia Anderson.
