Maumeta is an East Timorese Suco in the Remexio administrative office ( Aileu municipality ).

Before the 2015 regional reform, Maumeta had an area of ​​5.31 km². Now there are 11.21 km². The Suco is located in the southwest of the Remexio administrative office. To the west and north is the Suco Fahisoi , northeast of the Suco Fadabloco and east of the Suco Hautoho . To the south is the Lequidoe administrative office with its Suco Fahisoi . The southern border is formed by the Tatamailiu River , which is part of the Northern Laclós system .

A small road crosses the Suco, on which the two villages Aibana and Tuqueu ( Tukeu ) are located. There is no connection via a country road. The Suco has a medical station and a primary school, the Escola Primaria No. 2 .

In the Suco are the two Aldeias Aitoi and Tuqueu . The name of the third Aldeia is not mentioned in the official document.

Residents

532 inhabitants live in the Suco (2015), of which 268 are men and 264 women. The population density is 47.5 inhabitants / km². There are 89 households in the Suco. Over 50% of the population state Mambai as their mother tongue. A little under 50% speak Tetum Prasa .

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections , Moises Carvalho was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections won Filesberto Martins and 2016 Joaquim de Carvalho.
