Mauro Bole

Mauro Bole , called Bubu (born May 21, 1968 in Trieste ) is an Italian climber . He moves in the upper levels of difficulty in climbing. Alpine magazines describe his sporting achievements with superlatives.

Career

Mauro Bole's hardest sport climbs are difficulty levels 8a + on sight and 8b / c. In mixed terrain M10 on sight. On January 31, 2001 he managed the hardest mixed climb in the world to date with “The Empire Strike Back” (M10 + / M11) . He set a new record on the Shipton Spire (5,850 m) in the Karakoram; he was the first person to climb the 8a level of difficulty at an altitude of over 5,000 meters. On-Sight describes the ascent of an unknown route in the first attempt, whereby the climber has no further information about the route apart from the generally known facts.
