Max Frommel
Max F. Frommel (born March 15, 1830 in Karlsruhe , † January 5, 1890 in Celle ) was an Evangelical Lutheran theologian and author, general superintendent and consistorial councilor in Celle.
Life
Max Frommel, the younger brother of Emil Wilhelm Frommel , son of the engraver and painter Karl Ludwig Frommel and the pastor's daughter Jeanne Henriette Gambs, studied theology in Halle , Leipzig and Erlangen .
In 1852 Frommel resigned from the United Church as vicar and turned to the Prussian Old Lutherans . Here he worked in several parish offices, since 1858 in Ispringen near Pforzheim . He is considered to be a church father of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Baden , which was established in 1865 as a result of efforts at Union.
In 1880 Frommel became consistorial councilor and general superintendent of the general diocese of Lüneburg-Celle .
