Max Herre is the self-titled first solo album by the German rapper Max Herre . It was released on September 13, 2004 on the Four Music label as a standard and limited edition, including DVD.

The beats of the album were produced by Max Herre himself and the music producers Silly Walks Movement , Waajeed and Philippe Kayser . Further instrumentals come from Needlz, Sholar, Carsten Schedler, Tommy Wittinger and Manumatei.

Cover design

The album cover shows Max Herre leaning against a gray wall. There are various drawings on the wall, including a guitar, a train and a bird. At the top right of the picture is the white lettering Max Herre .

Max Herre entered the German album charts at number 1 on September 27, 2004 and was at number 8 and 12 in the following weeks. In total, the album stayed in the top 100 for nine weeks. In Austria, the record was at position 15 and 7th in Switzerland.

Six songs from the album were released as singles , the first three Jerusalem , Nur Du / Sei Tu and Playground for promotional purposes only . On June 1, 2004, Zu electric was released for free sale and reached number 63 in the German single charts. This was followed on August 30, 2004 by the song 1ste Liebe , which was ranked 33rd. In addition, the track Du weisst (Bye Bye Baby) was released on February 28, 2005 , but it did not make it into the charts.

In 2017 the album was awarded a gold record for more than 100,000 units sold in Germany .

Alexander Engelen from laut.de rated the album with four out of a possible five points. He thinks the solo album "is in no way inferior to the quality of Freundeskreis " and is consistently at a high level. In addition to hip-hop , it also contains many influences from other styles of music, such as soul , reggae and blues . The singles Zu electric and 1ste Liebe as well as the songs Alter Weg and Anna '04 are particularly emphasized .
