Max Jenkins (born March 13, 1985 in New York ) is an American film and stage actor and screenwriter . He is known, among other things, for his lead role Max Carnegie in the television series Detective Laura Diamond .

Career

From 2013 Jenkins played in the web series High Maintenance , which was first produced for Vimeo and later for HBO . In the acclaimed episode Olivia, Buzzfeed particularly highlights one scene with Jenkins.

Jenkins has played roles in several theatrical productions and has received critical acclaim for his acting. The piece Unnatural Acts is co-authored by Jenkins and he plays a part in it himself. In 2012 Unnatural Acts was nominated in three categories for the Drama Desk Award .

From 2014 to 2016 Jenkins starred in the series Detective Laura Diamond , in 2014 the Los Angeles Times wrote about him: "fabulous [, ...] may deserve a show of his own." (for example: "fabulous, deserves its own series").

Jenkins has appeared in the Netflix series Dead to Me in the role of Christopher Doyle alongside Christina Applegate since 2020 .
